Head Coach of the Orangeville Crushers, Dale Hawerchuk commented about his team's offensive explosion early in the third period and how he prepared them "I didn't really say much, we had a real good comeback our last game so I kind of reminded about that, and I told them they really need to take it upon themselves and that's what they did".

Orangeville came out with all the momentum early in the third, with Philip Teri getting a quick goal 2:50 into the period tying the game at four. Griffin Lacey was on the attack taking a wrist shot, scoring a goal high blocker side. A little over a minute later Jared Martin tapped in a rebound from the point giving his team a commanding two goal lead.
